Peterborough United Merchandise
The history of Peterborough United Football Club began in 1934, when Peterborough & Fletton United merged to form a new club. The new club took the Fletton United name, and joined the Midland League. The following year, the club turned professional and changed its name to Peterborough United.
In 1938, the club won the Midland League title and earned promotion to the Southern League. The club then went on to win the Southern League title in 1939–40, earning promotion to the Football League.
