Leyton Orient Football Club is an English professional football club based in Leyton, London. They play in League Two, the fourth tier of the English football league system. The club was founded in 1881 as Orient Football Club and played home games at Leyton Cricket Ground. They moved to their current home ground, Brisbane Road, in 1937.
The club has had several name changes since its formation, firstly to Eagle Cricket Club in 1886 and then to Millwall Rovers in 1888. It finally settled on its current name in 1898. The club nickname is "The O's".
The club's home colours are all red and their away colours are all white. Their badge features a circular shield with the club's initials "LOFC" in the centre, surrounded by a laurel wreath.
Leyton Orient have had a number of notable players and managers throughout their history. Some of the more famous names include Justin Fashanu, Dean Cox, Kevin Lisbie, Gary Alexander, Jay Simpson, Charlie MacDonald, Dean Brill, Kevin Nugent, Wayne Brown, Robbie Simpson, Jimmy Smith, Orient's all-time leading goalscorer David Mooney, and John Chiedozie.
The club has also produced a number of players who have gone on to have successful careers in other areas of the game, such as television presenter Jeff Stelling and actor Vinnie Jones.
